CHATEAU RIEUTORT WEDDING

Matt and Lucy had a wonderful Chateau Rieutort wedding in the south of France.  They wanted story-telling wedding photographs, so the emphasis was on celebrating with friends and family.  They honestly could not have made me feel more welcome.  I had so much fun shooting their amazing wedding.

The day started with Lucy’s preparations.  Lucy had the wonderful Annette Carr, english hairdresser in France doing her hair.  She looked fantastic. After sips of champagne it was time for Lucy to make her way down the aisle.  Ray Thatcher was conducting the ceremony for them. The couple exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony at Chateau Rieutort. It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony.

The couple were showered in confetti by all their guests under a beautiful line of plane trees, so very french. Champagne flowed and canapés were eaten in the south of France sunshine. I took them away for just 15 minutes to get some photos of the two of them together. We used the pretty gardens and the line of plane trees as a backdrop.  Then it was time for dinner and speeches.  I enjoy photographing speeches, such a great mix of emotion to capture.

The couple ended the night with dancing outside, I loved the lighting, it made such a difference to the images! They then poured a large champagne tower and of course a piece montee or croquembouche as they say in English was presented to the couple.  Here are a few of my favourite images from their day.

Congratulations Matt and Lucy.  It was an honour to shoot your Chateau Rieutort wedding. If you are getting married in the south of France, do get in touch with me about your plans.
