DOMAINE DE LA GRANGETTE WEDDING

Laura and Aidan had the most incredible Domaine de la Grangette wedding.  I loved the venue just outside Montagnac.  It had so many cool little areas for the portraits. The courtyard was where the meal was going to be held but soon after the ceremony it started raining.  But this venue is so flexible, the tables could be brought inside.

I’m sure Aidan and Laura were a little disappointed with the rain but they certainly did not let it effect the day.  In fact Laura said…hey I’m Irish, we’re used to rain!  We opted to do their couples pictures the following day instead.

So what do you do if it rains in the south of France on your wedding day? Eeek! You have travelled all this way for guaranteed sunshine (apparently 300 days a year of sunshine!) and it rains.  Well if you are Laura and Aidan, you don’t let it ruin your day and you just do the wedding portraits the day after.

Rather than worry about the rain, the couple just opted to get into their wedding outfits the next day, before their pool party.  This is also a great idea if you want lots of portraits but don’t want to spend a lot of time away from your guests.

Laura and Aidan were super relaxed and I think it really shows in their portraits.

When you have guests flying in from all over the world, it’s nice to spend as much time with them as possible.  Clients often host an event the day after the wedding. Laura and Aidan hosted a goodbye BBQ.  It was so much fun to shoot and I hope the pictures reflect that!
